Devin is the founder of Sound Employment Law, a Washington and Colorado licensed employment attorney dedicated to helping employees and employers navigate complex workplace challenges. Recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2025 and 2026.

Devin represents employers and organizations across the full range of employment matters — workplace investigations, whistleblower, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, wage and hour disputes, employee discipline, leave and accommodation issues, policy development, and employment litigation. She also advises employees on workplace matters.

Her litigation work includes cases recognized among the Top 100 U.S. Labor & Employment Verdicts and the Top 20 Verdicts in Washington State.

Having represented both employers and employees, Devin understands workplace disputes from multiple perspectives and provides clients with thoughtful, strategic guidance tailored to their unique circumstances.

Devin is also a certified Title IX investigator and conducts independent workplace investigations involving allegations of misconduct, policy violations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Devin earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law, where she served as Executive Research & Training Editor of the Seattle University Law Review. Her article was published in Volume 45 of the Seattle University Law Review. During law school, Devin earned CALI Awards for achieving the highest grade in Corporate Appellate Litigation and Solo & Small Firm Business Planning, first-place finishes in multiple advocacy and writing competitions, including first-place in the Tausend Moot Court Competition, the Washington Association of Corporate Counsel Writing Competition, and the Andrew P. Vance Memorial Writing Competition.

During law school, Devin participated on the Moot Court Board, Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, and in the Civil Rights Clinic. Her commitment to excellence earned her induction into the National Order of Barristers and recognition through the Pro Bono Pledge Award.

Before attending law school, Devin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Denver, with minors in Spanish, Communications, and Business. Her background in research, writing, and communication continues to shape her approach to advocacy and client service.

Whether advising an organization through a workplace concern or advocating for an individual facing an employment dispute, Devin provides responsive, practical legal guidance focused on protecting rights, reducing risk, and achieving meaningful solutions.

Outside of work, Devin enjoys life with her husband, a retired Green Beret and small business owner. Together, they love hiking, skiing, and exploring the outdoors throughout the Pacific Northwest.
